Guide on how to add ARES as an OAuth sign in provider with Clerk

Configure OAuth Provider

Step 1: In your Clerk dashboard, go to "Configure", then to "SSO Connections"

Step 2: Click "Add connection" and "For all users"

Step 3: Click "Use manual configuration" and enter the following values into the fields

Make sure to replace the Client ID and Client Secret with your Client ID and Client Secret, then click "Add connection"

Only certified ARES Partners have Client ID and Client Secret. If you want to become an ARES Partner, email [e-mail].

Step 4: Copy the "Authorized redirect URI" and email it to [e-mail] along with your Client ID.

Do not enable connection until we've confirmed your redirect URL and emailed you back.

Step 5: Scroll down and fill out the Attribute Mapping with the following values.

Step 6: Once we've confirmed your redirect URI, enable the connection.

IMPORTANT: Do not enable connection until we've confirmed your redirect URI.

Step 7: Configure your app to start earning ARES Credits. You can do this step while waiting for us to confirm your redirect URI.
